Baked Sausage Penne

Ingredients
- 4 oz whole-grain penne pasta
- 1 link Italian turkey sausage, casing removed
- 1 zucchini, chopped
- 1 tsp dried basil
- ¾ cup low-sodium marinara sauce
- ¼ cup shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
- Meanwhile, heat a nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add sausage, zucchini and basil; cook 6 to 8 minutes or until sausage is browned and crumbly. Add marinara sauce.
- Toss pasta with half of sausage mixture and place in a small baking dish. Spread remaining sausage mixture over pasta; sprinkle with cheese.
- If desired, wrap tightly and freeze. When ready to bake, thaw overnight in refrigerator.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.
