Ingredients
- 1½ lb ground sirloin
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
- 1 onion, sliced (see Note)
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced (see Note)
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 6 slices provolone cheese, broken into pieces
- 6 hamburger buns, toasted
Instructions
- Cook beef, mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until beef is browned and crumbly and vegetables are tender.
- Add ketchup, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper; cook 3 to 4 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
- Add cheese, stirring until melted. Serve beef mixture on buns.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 (12-oz) pkg carrot sticks
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 6 Tbsp olive-oil mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (or use other paprika)
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Toss together carrots, oil, salt, and pepper on a greased rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes, turning once, until carrots are browned and tender.
- Meanwhile, stir together mayonnaise, garlic, and paprika; serve with fries.
