Spicy Ginger Steak
Green Onion RiceIngredients
- 1 (8-oz) sirloin steak
- 1 Tbsp gluten-free soy sauce
- 2 tsp minced ginger
- 2 tsp Asian chili garlic paste
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 heads baby bok choy, halved lengthwise
Instructions
- Place steak in a large zip-top plastic bag; stir together soy sauce, ginger, chili garlic paste, vinegar, and honey. Seal and chill at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
- Remove steak from marinade, reserving marinade.
- Cook steak in hot oil in a large cast-iron skillet or wok 3 to 4 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Remove to a cutting board; let stand 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, add bok choy to drippings in skillet, and sauté 2 to 3 minutes per side or until almost done. Add reserved marinade, and cook 2 minutes or until sauce thickens and bok choy is tender.
- Slice steak, and serve with bok choy and sauce over Green Onion Rice recipe.
Side Dish Ingredients
- ¾ cup long-grain white rice
- 2 green onions, chopped
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook rice according to package directions. Stir in green onions, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
