Baked Sausage Penne
Ingredients
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 2 links Italian turkey sausage, casings removed (or use 1 lb any sausage)
- 3 zucchini, chopped
- 1 Tbsp dried basil
- 1 (24-oz) jar marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven 350°F. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
- Meanwhile, cook sausage, zucchini, and basil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until sausage is browned and crumbly. Add marinara sauce.
- Toss pasta with half of sausage mixture, and place in two small disposable pans. Spread remaining sausage mixture over pasta in each pan; sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake one pan 20 to 25 minutes or until top is browned and bubbly. Wrap and freeze remaining unbaked pan for up to 1 month.
