Spicy Beef and Pepper Stir-fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced across the grain
  • 1 Tbsp dark sesame oil
  • ½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced (or any color)
  • ½ yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced (or any color)
  • ½ cup thinly sliced green onions
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Sriracha hot sauce
  • 1½ tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Cook beef in hot oil in a large wok or nonstick skillet over high heat 3 minutes or until browned. Remove beef from pan; keep warm.
  2. Add bell peppers and onions to pan; cook 6 minutes or until tender, stirring often.
  3. Whisk together water, soy sauce, fish sauce, Sriracha, and cornstarch in a small bowl.
  4. Add beef and soy sauce mixture to pan; bring to a boil, and cook 1 to 2 minutes or until sauce is thickened.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen broccoli florets
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook broccoli according to package directions; toss with butter, salt, and pepper.
