Honey Chicken
Jasmine Rice and Sesame Broccoli
Ingredients
- 2½ lb bone-in chicken breasts
- ¾ cup honey
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Use paper towels to grip and remove chicken skin, if necessary. Place chicken breasts in a 5- or 6-quart slow cooker. Combine honey and remaining ingredients; pour sauce over chicken.
- Cover and cook on LOW 6 hours.
- Shred chicken, removing bones; serve chicken with sauce over hot cooked rice.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1½ cups jasmine rice
- 2 to 3 tsp sesame seeds
- 3 Tbsp butter, divided
- 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets (or use frozen broccoli florets)
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook rice according to package directions.
- Sauté sesame seeds with 1 Tbsp butter in a small skillet until golden and fragrant.
- Steam broccoli 4 to 5 minutes over a small amount of boiling water.
- Drain and toss broccoli with 2 Tbsp butter; sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
