The Perfect Chili
Ingredients
- 3 lb ground chuck
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 (28-oz) cans crushed tomatoes
- 2 (15.5-oz) cans low-sodium Ranch-style beans (or use other canned beans)
- 1 (15-oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (14.5-oz) can low-sodium beef broth
- ¼ cup chili powder
- 3 Tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
- ½ cup sliced green onions
Instructions
- Cook beef and onions in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and transfer to a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker.
- Add tomatoes, both beans, broth, chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours. Serve chili with cheese, sour cream, and onions.
