Chicken Fettuccine

Ingredients

  • 2 (9-oz) pkg refrigerated fettuccine
  • 10 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 (15-oz) jars Alfredo sauce
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen green peas

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
  2. Meanwhile, cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain on paper towels, reserving drippings in skillet.
  3. Season chicken lightly with salt and pepper. Add chicken to hot drippings in skillet; cook over medium-high heat until done.
  4. Add Alfredo sauce, peas, and reserved pasta water. Cook until thoroughly heated; toss with pasta. Sprinkle with bacon.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 6 (4-oz) cups strawberry applesauce, chilled

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Serve applesauce on each plate.
