Chocolate Chip Confetti Cookies
Ingredients
- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1¼ cups yellow cake mix (from a 15.25-oz box)
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups milk chocolate chips
- ½ cup rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
- Whisk together flour, cake mix, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Beat butter on medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Add both sugars, and beat until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
- Add flour mixture to sugar mixture; mix on low speed until blended. Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles. Cover dough, and chill 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F, and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll dough into 1½-inch balls, and place 2 inches apart on prepared pans.
- Bake, 1 pan at a time, 10 minutes or until golden around the edges. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheets; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
