Ingredients

  • ½ cup chopped red onion
  • 1 small apple, finely chopped
  • 1 (9-oz) pkg baby spinach
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 (20-oz) pkg lean ground turkey
  • 2 tsp garlic and herb seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 6 whole wheat hamburger buns, toasted
  • 3 romaine lettuce leaves, halved
  • 6 thin slices tomato

Instructions

  1. Cook onion, apple, and spinach in 1 Tbsp hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until apple is tender; slightly cool.
  2. Combine turkey, apple mixture, and seasoning in a large bowl; shape into 6 patties. Cook patties, in batches if necessary, in 1 Tbsp hot oil in skillet 4 to 6 minutes per side or until done.
  3. Spread mustard over cut sides of buns. Serve burgers in buns with lettuce and tomato.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg baby carrots with tops, halved lengthwise
  • 1 English cucumber, sliced
  • ⅓ cup light Ranch dressing

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Serve vegetables with dressing for dipping.
