Pepper-Crusted Burgers
Ingredients
- 4 (5.4-oz) ground beef patties
- 1 Tbsp coarse-ground black pepper
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 4 slices fontina cheese
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp whole-grain mustard
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- 4 leaves green leaf lettuce
- 1 tomato, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Sprinkle patties on all sides with pepper and salt. Cook patties in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink in centers. Top each patty with 1 slice cheese; let stand 1 minute or until melted.
- Meanwhile, stir together mayonnaise, mustard, basil, and lemon zest; spread on cut sides of buns. Top with patties, lettuce, and tomato.
