French Onion Salisbury Steaks
Butttery Green Beans
Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2¼ cups beef broth
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 (8-count) pkg frozen Texas cheese garlic toast
Instructions
- Shape beef into 6 patties; season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Cook patties in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain skillet, reserving 1 Tbsp drippings in skillet. Add onions to drippings; cook over medium heat 5 minutes. Stir in garlic and tomato paste; cook 2 minutes. Sprinkle flour over onions; cook, stirring, 2 minutes.
- Add broth, thyme, and patties to skillet; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Bake cheese toast according to package directions; divide among 6 shallow bowls. Place 1 patty on each piece of toast; ladle soup and onion mixture over patties.

- ¼ cup butter
Side Dish Instructions
- Steam green beans in a steamer basket set over simmering water until crisp-tender. Transfer to a bowl, and toss with butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
