Pepper-Jack Burgers with Caramelized Red Onions
Seasoned Waffle FriesIngredients
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- ¾ lb ground beef
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 slices pepper-Jack cheese
- 2 hamburger buns, toasted
- 2 green leaf lettuce leaves
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cover and cook 15 minutes or until tender. Uncover and increase heat to medium-high. Cook, stirring constantly, until onion is golden brown.
- Meanwhile, combine beef, Worcestershire, chili powder, cumin, and salt. Shape mixture into 2 patties.
- Cook patties in same skillet over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Top each patty with cheese; cook 1 minute or until cheese is melted.
- Serve on toasted buns with lettuce, caramelized onions, and desired condiments.

- ½ Tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp seasoned salt
