Open-Faced Steak Reubens
Seasoned Waffle FriesIngredients
- 1½ lb sirloin steak
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 6 thick slices rye bread
- ½ cup Thousand Island salad dressing
- 2 (8-oz) cans sauerkraut, well drained
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
Instructions
- Lightly season steak with salt and pepper.
- Cook steak in hot oil 5 to 6 minutes per side or until browned. Remove from skillet, cover, and let stand 5 minutes; thinly slice.
- Preheat broiler. Arrange bread slices on a rimmed baking sheet. Broil 2 to 3 minutes per side or until browned.
- Spread dressing over 1 side of toasted bread; top with sauerkraut, steak, and cheese. Broil 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
