Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon
  • ¾ lb ground beef (or use ground turkey)
  • ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1½ dill pickle spears, chopped (or use bread and butter pickles)
  • 1 Roma tomato, chopped
  • 3 slices American cheese (or use any sliced cheese)
  • 1½ cups shredded iceberg lettuce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain and crumble.
  2. Meanwhile, cook beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly; drain. Stir in ¼ cup Cheddar cheese, bacon, pickles, and tomato.
  3. Spoon into an 8-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with ¼ cup Cheddar; top with American cheese.
  4. Bake 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top with shredded lettuce, if desired.

  • ½ (16-oz) pkg strawberries
  • ½ (9.25-oz) pkg corn chips

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cut up berries; place in a bowl, and chill until ready to serve.
  2. Serve desired amount of chips with casserole.
