Easy Hot Fudge Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 (4-oz) bar unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 1½ cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine butter and chocolate in a saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until chocolate is melted.
  2. Stir in brown sugar and cream.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium -high heat; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour into a heatproof container, and refrigerate up to 1 month.
  6. Heat gently in microwave before using.
