Cilantro-Lime Sauce Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 (5.4-oz) fresh ground beef patties
  • ½ tsp salt, divided
  • ½ tsp pepper, divided
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise 
  • 1½ tsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ⅛ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ beefsteak tomato, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup thinly sliced red onion
  • ½ head Boston lettuce, leaves separated

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle patties with ¼ tsp each salt and pepper. Cook patties in a large skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes per side or until no longer pink.
  2. Meanwhile, stir together mayonnaise, cilantro, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, and ¼ tsp each salt and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Top patties with tomato, onion, and mayonnaise mixture. Serve burgers using lettuce leaves as buns.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1½ Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss together all ingredients on a large rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer.
  2. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until potatoes are browned, stirring halfway through baking.
