Pepperoni Calzones

Easy Caesar with Croutons
Clock

Ingredients

  • 2 (13.8-oz) cans refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 (15-oz) carton ricotta cheese
  • 1 (6-oz) pkg pepperoni
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ⅓ cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1(14-oz) jar pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Unroll pizza dough onto a flat surface. Cut each portion of dough into 4 squares.
  2. Smear dollops of ricotta cheese over dough squares. Divide pepperoni, mozzarella, and basil among dough squares; fold each dough square over to completely enclose filling, crimping edges to seal.
  3. Place calzones on 2 parchment paper-lined baking sheets; brush tops with beaten egg. Cut 3 slits in top of each calzone to allow steam to escape.
  4. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until calzones are golden brown. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (17.8-oz) pkg family-size Caesar salad kit
  • ½ (5-oz) pkg Caesar salad croutons

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Prepare salad according to kit directions, adding extra croutons.
