Banoffee Sundaes

Ingredients

  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • ½ cup packed dark brown sugar
  • ⅔ cup heavy cream
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 (48-oz) carton vanilla ice cream
  • 4 small bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. Toast nuts in a small dry saucepan over medium heat until fragrant, stirring occasionally. Remove from pan.
  2. Bring butter, sugar, cream, and salt to a boil in saucepan over medium heat; cook 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until thickened and sugar is dissolved. Cool slightly.
  3. Spoon a small amount of sauce into each of 4 cups. Add a scoop of ice cream, banana, another scoop of ice cream, and more sauce to each cup. Sprinkle with nuts.
