Hawaiian Sirloin Kabobs

Garlicky Sugar Snap Peas

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1½ Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 bell pepper (any color), cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 red onion, cut into small wedges
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine steak, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a large zip-top plastic freezer bag. Seal and chill 30 minutes, turning once.
  2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade.
  3. Combine bell pepper, onion, and ½ Tbsp oil in a bowl; toss.
  4. Alternately thread beef, bell pepper, onion, and pineapple onto metal or bamboo skewers; sprinkle skewers with salt and pepper.
  5. Place skewers on a grill rack rubbed with ½ Tbsp oil. Grill 6 minutes per side or until steak is cooked to desired doneness.

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2¼ tsp olive oil
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sugar snap peas, trimmed
  • ¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Sauté garlic in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 1 minute or until tender.
  2. Add peas and broth. Cook 5 minutes or until peas are tender and broth has evaporated. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
