Ground Beef Gyros

Sea Salt Pita Crackers and Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef (or use ground turkey)
  • 2 tsp Greek seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 6 pita bread rounds, halved
  • 1 head green leaf lettuce
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¾ cup Ranch dressing

Instructions

  1. Combine beef, Greek seasoning, and oregano; season lightly with salt and pepper. Shape mixture into 6 patties.
  2. Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 5 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Cut patties into thin slices; stuff into pita halves.
  3. Separate lettuce into leaves. Add to pitas along with tomatoes and onion; serve with Ranch dressing.

  • 1 (10-oz) container hummus
