Smothered Hamburger Steaks
Cheddar Mashed Potatoes and Roasted AsparagusIngredients
- 6 ground beef patties
- 1 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 1 (20-oz) pkg frozen peppers and onion blend
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 (14.5-oz) can petite diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil
- 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Sprinkle patties with seasoning. Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes per side or until browned. Remove patties from skillet; wipe skillet clean.
- Cook peppers and onion blend in hot oil in skillet over medium heat 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in tomatoes, vinegar, and basil. Return patties to skillet, and cook 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

- 2 (24-oz) carton refrigerated mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Side Dish Instructions
- Heat potatoes according to package directions; stir in cheese.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss together asparagus and oil on a rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until tender and lightly browned; season to taste.
