Sausage Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg whole-grain spaghetti
- 1 lb ground Italian turkey sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain, reserving 1 cup pasta water.
- Meanwhile, cook sausage and onion in a large deep skillet over medium heat until sausage is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
- Stir in tomatoes, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and 1 cup pasta water. Cook until tomatoes soften and sauce is slightly thickened. Toss with hot cooked pasta.
