Spooky Crescent Hot Dog Spiders

Broccoli Salad with Red Grapes
Clock

Ingredients

  • 12 all beef hot dogs
  • 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • ¼ cup pitted whole black olives, drained well
  • Ketchup
  • Yellow mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Cut ends of each hot dog into 4 strips to look like spider legs, leaving about 1½ inches uncut in middle of each hot dog.
  2. Unroll and cut 6 crescent triangles in half lengthwise, forming two triangles each. Wrap middle of each "spider dog" with a crescent roll strip, starting with narrow end. Place each wrapped dog, seam side down, on a greased baking sheet.
  3. Using a sharp knife, thinly slice olives. Place two olive slices on each crescent to look like eyes.
  4. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until crescents are well browned and spider legs begin to curl. Serve 2 per person with ketchup and mustard.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 lb broccoli florets, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (4.5-oz) pkg crumbled bacon
  • ¼ cup diced sweet onion
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ¾ cup seedless red grapes, halved lengthwise

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss together broccoli, cheese, bacon, and onion in a bowl.
  2. Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar. Pour dressing over salad, and toss. Stir in grapes. Chill until ready to serve.
