Bacon-Cheeseburger Soup
Texas ToastIngredients
- ½ (16-oz) pkg bacon
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups milk
- 1 (14.5-oz) can petite-diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a large Dutch oven over medium heat until crisp; drain. Crumble bacon.
- Cook beef, onion, and garlic in pot over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to pot.
- Stir in flour and seasoning. Cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Gradually stir in broth, milk, and tomatoes; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until thickened. Gradually stir in cheese until melted. Stir in Worcestershire. Sprinkle with bacon.

- 1 (8-count) box frozen Texas toast
Side Dish Instructions
- Bake desired amount of Texas toast according to package directions. Serve with soup.
