The Perfect Chili

Ingredients

  • 3 lb ground beef
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 (28-oz) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (15.5-oz) cans Ranch-style beans
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 4 Tbsp chili powder
  • 3 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook beef and onions in a large Dutch oven over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to pot.
  2. Add tomato sauce, beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until thickened.
  3. Serve half of chili with cheese in bowls. Reserve remaining half of chili for Chili-Topped Baked Potatoes recipe.

  • 1 (9.25-oz) pkg corn chips

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Serve corn chips with chili.
