Ingredients

  • 2 (4-oz) boneless center-cut loin pork chops
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp ground allspice
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Coat pork with cooking spray; sprinkle with allspice, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook pork in a nonstick skillet over medium heat 4 minutes per side or until done.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (1-lb) head broccoli
  • 2 tsp light butter with canola oil
  • ½ tsp salt, divided
  • ½ tsp pepper, divided
  • 1 Tbsp canola oil
  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 small firm pear, cored and sliced
  • ¼ cup slivered almonds (toasted, if desired)
  • 2 Tbsp dried cranberries

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cut broccoli into spears. Steam broccoli in a steamer basket over boiling water 4 to 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Top with butter and ¼ tsp each salt and pepper.
  2. Whisk together oil, vinegar, and ¼ tsp each salt pepper in a large bowl. Add lettuce, pears, nuts, and cranberries; toss.
