Beef and Biscuit Shepherd's Pie
Brown Sugar-Bacon Green Beans
Ingredients
- 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated flaky biscuits
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- ¾ tsp onion powder
- ¾ tsp garlic powder
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 (32-oz) carton refrigerated mashed potatoes
- 2 cups coarsely crushed potato chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Separate biscuits and press into bottom and up sides of a lightly greased 9-inch deep-dish pie plate. Bake 10 minutes. Press biscuits down with the back of a spoon.
- Meanwhile, cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain, and return to skillet. Stir in barbecue sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder; cook until thoroughly heated. Stir in 1 cup cheese.
- Spoon beef mixture over partially-baked biscuit crust.
- Heat mashed potatoes according to package directions; spoon over beef mixture. Sprinkle with potato chips and remaining cheese. Bake 15 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

- 1 (4.5-oz) pkg crumbled bacon
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 (16-oz) pkg frozen green beans
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook bacon pieces, butter, brown sugar, and garlic salt in a large skillet over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
- Steam green beans according to package directions; add to skillet, and stir to coat with bacon sauce.
