Beef Hand Pies
Sweet and Spicy Mustard Greens
Ingredients
- 1 (17.3-oz) pkg frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 3 cups reserved beef mixture (from Upside Down Shepherd's Pie recipe)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll 1 puff pastry sheet into a 12-inch-long rectangle on prepared pan.
- Cut into 3 equal pieces; spread ½ cup reserved beef mixture on one half of each pastry piece, leaving a ½ inch border. Fold pastry over filling and seal edges with fork.
- Repeat procedure with remaining pastry sheet and beef mixture.
- Bake 15 minutes or until golden.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg shredded fresh mustard greens
- ¼ cup olive oil, divided
- 3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp salt
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook greens in 2 Tbsp hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes or until wilted, stirring often and adding 2 Tbsp oil to skillet as needed.
- Stir together vinegar, sugar, and salt; drizzle over greens, stirring to combine.
