Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground Italian sausage
  • 1½ Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can diced tomatoes with garlic
  • 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper
  • 2 cups hot water
  • ½ (16-oz) pkg bow-tie pasta (8 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Italian flat-leaf parsley sprigs

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage and garlic in hot oil in a large sauté pan or Dutch oven over medium heat until browned and crumbly. Drain, if necessary, and return to pan.
  2. Add diced tomatoes, sauce, seasoning, and crushed red pepper. Season with salt and pepper. Add water and pasta.
  3. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes or until pasta is done. Sprinkle with cheeses. Garnish with parsley.

  • 1 (17.8-oz) pkg family-size Caesar salad kit

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake bread according to package directions. Slice.
  2. Toss together salad ingredients in a bowl.
