Ingredients

  • ½ (28-oz) pkg frozen natural house-cut French fries
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp whole wheat flour
  • ¾ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups shredded rotisserie chicken
  • ½ cup shredded white Cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley or sage (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bake fries according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook 3 minutes or until tender. Gradually whisk in flour; cook 1 minute.
  3. Stir in broth, pepper, and salt. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook 4 to 6 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
  4. Top fries with chicken, gravy, and cheese on baking sheet. Bake 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with cranberry sauce. Sprinkle with fresh herbs, if desired.
