Grill Pan Sirloin Steak
Warm Bean SaladIngredients
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 3 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- ½ lb top sirloin steak
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Combine vinegar, oil, syrup, and soy sauce in a large zip-top plastic freezer bag; add sirloin. Seal bag, and chill 2 to 4 hours.
- Remove steak from bag; sprinkle steak with salt and pepper. Cook in a grill pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat 8 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Let stand 10 minutes; thinly slice across the grain.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- ½ lb green beans, trimmed
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1 (15.5-oz) can BPA-free dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1½ Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Side Dish Instructions
- Sauté garlic in hot oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat 1 minute or until tender; add green beans and water. Cover and steam 4 minutes or until beans are tender.
- Combine green beans, kidney beans, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Serve warm or at room temperature.
