Simple Salisbury Steak and Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 (18-oz) jar beef gravy

Instructions

  1. Stir together beef, breadcrumbs, onion powder, garlic salt, and egg in a large bowl. Shape mixture into 6 patties.
  2. Cook patties in a large skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes per side or until no longer pink in centers.
  3. Meanwhile, heat gravy according to package directions. Divide patties among 6 plates; spoon gravy over patties.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 lb Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • ⅓ cup butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen green peas

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Place potatoes in a large saucepan; add cold water to cover. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  2. Drain and return to pot. Add butter and milk. Mash to desired consistency with a potato masher. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cook peas according to package directions; season with salt and pepper to taste.
