Christmas Morning Breakfast Casserole
Cinnamon Applesauce
Ingredients
- ½ (16-oz) pkg Italian ground pork sausage
- 1 red bell pepper (or any color), chopped
- 3 green onions, sliced
- ½ (30-oz) pkg frozen shredded hash browns
- 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 6 large eggs
- ¾ cup whole milk
- ½ tsp seasoned salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring 8 to 10 minutes or until browned and crumbly; drain well.
- Combine bell peppers and onions.
- Place half of hash browns in a greased 3- or 4-quart slow cooker; top with half each of sausage, bell pepper mixture, and cheese. Repeat layers.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour in cooker.
- Cover and cook on LOW 6 hours or until eggs are set.

- ½ (23-oz) jar cinnamon applesauce, chilled
Side Dish Instructions
- Serve desired amount of applesauce on each plate.
