Seared Salmon with Horseradish Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb salmon fillets
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp pepper
  • ¾ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ⅔ cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp prepared horseradish
  • ¼ cup drained capers
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle fillets with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook fillets in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 5 minutes per side until browned and fish flakes with a fork.
  2. Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, and horseradish. Top each fillet with sauce. Sprinkle with capers. Garnish with parsley sprigs, if desired.

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake fries according to package directions. Season with salt and pepper; toss. Dip in horseradish sauce alongside salmon.
