Classic Grilled Ham and Cheese
Winter Salad with Cranberries
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 12 slices bakery white bread
- 1 lb thin deli-sliced ham
- 12 large slices colby-Jack cheese
- ½ tsp ground pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- ¼ cup milk
Instructions
- Combine mustard and mayonnaise; spread a thin layer on each bread slice.
- Layer 6 bread slices with ham and cheese; sprinkle with pepper. Cover with remaining bread slices.
- Whisk together eggs and milk in a shallow dish. Dip each sandwich in egg mixture.
- Heat a large, buttered skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches, in batches if necessary, until both sides are browned and cheese is melted. Cut sandwiches in half, if desired.

- 1 (8.7-oz) pkg Country Dijon chopped salad kit (or use any favorite chopped salad)
- ½ cup dried cranberries

- Toss together salad kit ingredients. Stir in extra cranberries.
