Italian Sausage Soup

Romaine Salad and Garlic Butter French Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg ground sweet Italian sausage
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 zucchini, halved lengthwise and sliced
  • 2 (32-oz) cartons beef broth
  • 2 (14.5-oz) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • 1 (7-oz) pkg small shell pasta

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage, carrots, and onion in a Dutch oven over medium heat until sausage is browned and crumbly; drain and return to pot.
  2. Stir in zucchini, broth, tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes.
  3. Add pasta, and cook 8 minutes or until tender.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (9-oz) pkg premium romaine salad mix
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinaigrette
  • 1 (16-oz) loaf garlic butter French bread

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss salad mix with vinaigrette just before serving.
  2. Heat bread according to package directions.
