Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 (8-oz) block cream cheese, cut into small pieces and softened
  • 2 (10-oz) cans no-salt-added diced tomatoes and green chiles
  • 1 (32-oz) carton low-sodium beef broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cook beef, onion, and garlic in a large saucepan over medium-high heat until beef is browned and crumbly. If desired, drain and return to pan. Add cumin and chili powder; cook 1 minute.
  2. Gradually add cream cheese; cook until well blended, stirring often. Stir in tomatoes, broth, and cream. Cook until thoroughly heated.
