French Bread Pizzas

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 (28-oz) can San Marzano tomatoes, undrained and chopped
  • 1 (16-oz) French baguette, halved lengthwise
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
  • 1 (6-oz) pkg pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Sauté garlic in 2 Tbsp hot oil in a saucepan over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Add tomatoes; cook 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thickened.
  3. Brush 1 Tbsp oil on cut sides of bread; place on a baking sheet. Bake 5 minutes or until toasted.
  4. Top bread with desired amount of tomato sauce; top with bell pepper, mushrooms, pepperoni, and cheese.
  5. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted. Cut into serving-size pieces.
