Ingredients
- ½ (12-oz) pkg fully cooked Italian-style chicken meatballs
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 2 tsp all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup milk
- ⅓ cup marinara sauce
- 4 slider buns (preferably whole wheat)
- 3 Tbsp shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook meatballs according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, cook oil and flour over medium-high heat in a skillet 2 minutes. Add milk and marinara sauce; cook, whisking constantly, 5 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat. Toss in meatballs.
- Serve meatballs on slider buns with cheese and parsley.
Side Dish Ingredients
- ¾ lb carrots, cut into sticks
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 Tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp dried crushed rosemary
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss carrots with oil and seasoning on a rimmed lightly greased baking sheet; spread in a single layer.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until browned and tender. Remove from oven; sprinkle with cheese and rosemary.
