Easy London Broil
Green Beans with Walnuts and Blue Cheese
Ingredients
- 1½ lb top London broil, trimmed (or use flank steak)
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp butter, softened
Instructions
- Sprinkle both sides of steak with salt and pepper. Rub butter over steak. Let steak stand at room temperature 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak, and cook 4 minutes per side or until browned.
- Transfer skillet to oven, and bake 10 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before thinly slicing across the grain.

- 2 (12-oz) pkg green beans
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook green beans according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, toast nuts in a small dry skillet over medium-low heat 2 to 4 minutes or until lightly browned and fragrant.
- Whisk together oil, vinegar, salt, and garlic powder in a large bowl. Add green beans; toss. Sprinkle with nuts and cheese.
