Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 chipotle chile pepper in adobo sauce, seeded and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp adobo sauce
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp seasoned salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 lb chicken wings
  • ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Stir together sugar, pepper, adobo sauce, vinegar, oil, seasoned salt, and garlic in a large bowl; add wings, tossing to coat.
  2. Arrange wings in a lightly greased 5- to 7-quart slow cooker; add broth.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 6 sweet potatoes
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 bunch celery, cut into sticks
  • 1 cup Ranch dressing

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Prick potatoes several times with a fork, and place on a large rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Bake 1 hour or until very tender. Split potatoes and top with butter and sugar.
  3. Serve with celery sticks and Ranch for dipping.
