Classic Grilled Ham and Cheese
Winter Salad with CranberriesIngredients
- 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 6 slices bakery white bread
- ⅓ lb thin deli-sliced ham
- 6 large slices colby-Jack cheese
- ¼ tsp ground pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ¼ cup milk
Instructions
- Combine mustard and mayonnaise; spread a thin layer on each bread slice.
- Layer 3 bread slices with ham and cheese; sprinkle with pepper. Cover with remaining bread slices.
- Whisk together egg and milk in a shallow dish. Dip each sandwich in egg mixture.
- Heat a large, buttered skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches until both sides are browned and cheese is melted. Cut sandwiches in half, if desired.

- 1 (7-oz) pkg kale pecan cranberry chopped salad (or use any favorite chopped salad)
