Turkey French Dips

Ingredients

  • 3 lb frozen boneless turkey breast, thawed
  • 2 stalks celery, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 sub rolls
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 4 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine turkey, celery, onion, 3 cups water, thyme, pepper, and bay leaves in a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker; cover, and cook on Low 10 hours. .
  2. Remove turkey, reserving cooking liquid.
  3. Shred meat, and toss with a small amount of cooking liquid.
  4. Spread cut sides of rolls with mayonnaise; layer turkey and cheese over bottom halves of rolls. Cover with top halves of rolls. Serve with cooking liquid for dipping.
