Turkey French Dips
Seasoned French Fries
Ingredients
- 3 lb frozen boneless turkey breast, thawed
- 2 stalks celery, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cups water
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 sub rolls
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 4 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Combine turkey, celery, onion, 3 cups water, thyme, pepper, and bay leaves in a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker; cover, and cook on Low 10 hours. .
- Remove turkey, reserving cooking liquid.
- Shred meat, and toss with a small amount of cooking liquid.
- Spread cut sides of rolls with mayonnaise; layer turkey and cheese over bottom halves of rolls. Cover with top halves of rolls. Serve with cooking liquid for dipping.
