Bacon Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 8 slices center cut bacon
  • 2¾ cups milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat 6 minutes or until crispy. Crumble bacon.
  2. Meanwhile, bring milk, water, pasta, salt, and pepper to a simmer in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low, and cook, stirring often, 8 to 10 minutes or until pasta is done and sauce is creamy.
  3. Remove pan from heat. Stir in cheese until melted; fold in seasoning and bacon.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Toss together broccoli, oil, garlic, and seasoning on a large rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer. Roast 12 to 15 minutes or until tender.
