Cheesy-Dill Pickle Sloppy Joes
Sweet Potato Fries
Ingredients
- 1½ lb plant-based ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- ¾ cup chili sauce
- ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup chopped dill pickles
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 6 hamburger buns, lightly toasted
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded iceberg lettuce
Instructions
- Cook plant-based beef and onion in a large skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat until beef is browned and crumbled; drain well.
- Place beef mixture, chili sauce, broth, ketchup, and vinegar in a greased 5- to 7-quart slow cooker, stirring well. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 7 hours.
- Stir in pickles and 1 cup cheese; cover and let stand 5 minutes.
- Serve beef mixture in buns with 1 cup cheese and lettuce.
