Sage Pork Chops
Balsamic Greens with Sautéed PearsIngredients
- 6 pork loin chops
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dry rubbed sage
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Rub pork chops with oil; sprinkle with sage, and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook pork in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 4 to 5 minutes per side or until pork chops are done.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 3 pears, peeled, cored and sliced
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp water
- 3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar, divided
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 lb turnip or collard greens, trimmed and coarsely chopped
- ¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Side Dish Instructions
- Sauté pears in hot oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until pears begin to brown; add water and 1 Tbsp vinegar. Cook 2 minutes or until pears are tender; remove from pot, and keep warm.
- Add garlic and greens to Dutch oven; cook 5 minutes or until greens begin to wilt.
- Add broth, 2 Tbsp vinegar, salt, and pepper; cook 5 minutes or until greens are tender.
