Creamy Italian Chicken

Broccoli and Rice Pilaf and Poppy Seed Potato Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 (0.7-oz) envelopes Italian dressing mix
  • ½ cup white wine (or use chicken broth)
  • ¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ¼ cup butter, cubed
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg cream cheese, cubed and softened

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in a greased 5- to 7-quart slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle with dressing mix; pour wine and broth over chicken, and sprinkle with butter. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours or until chicken is done.
  3. Add cream cheese to slow cooker, stirring until melted.
  4. Serve over Broccoli and Rice Pilaf recipe.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter, divided
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 3 cups chopped fresh broccoli
  • 1½ cups uncooked long-grain rice
  • 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ (12-count) pkg potato rolls
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt 2 Tbsp butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add onion; cook, stirring frequently, 3 minutes.
  2. Add broccoli; cook 3 minutes. Add rice; cook 1 minute.
  3. Add broth; bring to a boil over medium-high heat; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
  4. Place rolls on a baking sheet. Melt 2 Tbsp butter, and brush over rolls; sprinkle rolls with poppy seeds.
  5. Bake 10 minutes or until brown and toasted.
