Banana French Toast Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into cubes
  • ½ (8-oz) block cream cheese, cut into ½-inch cubes
  • 3 bananas, sliced
  • 6 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4 cups milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Place half of bread in a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Top with cream cheese, bananas, and remaining bread.
  2. Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, syrup, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Pour over bread mixture. Cover and chill at least 8 hours or overnight.
  3. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes before baking.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F. Uncover and bake 1 hour or until center is set.
