Baked Beef Nachos

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 2 (1.25-oz) envelope taco seasoning mix 
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 (15-oz) cans refried beans
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded colby-Jack cheese
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1 (10-oz) bag tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
  2. Add seasoning mix and water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until mixture is thickened. Stir in beans.
  3. Spoon beef mixture into a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  4. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and green onions.
  5. Arrange chips on serving plates; spoon beef mixture over chips.
